Fab Finds! visits Hubbard House Jacksonville

Jacksonville has many thrift stores where you can donate or shop and most will pick up large donations.

What makes the Hubbard House Thrift Store special? Whether you are donating or buying, 100% of the net proceeds support victims of domestic violence and the services needed to keep victims and their children safe.

When you buy from Hubbard House Thrift Store or make tax-deductible donations of gently used clothing, furniture, and household items, you help end domestic violence in our community in two ways:

    1. ●  Victims and their families are given vouchers and can select what they need from the store to help rebuild their lives and start fresh. So that couch you donated may now provide daily comfort and support to a family striving to live violence-free.
    2. ●  Items not immediately needed by program participants are sold and 100% of the net proceeds support the shelter and our other services

The treasure hunter and the bargain shopper are the main type of shoppers at the Hubbard House Thrift Store. Many struggling families find affordable ways to meet their needs at our store. At Hubbard House Thrift Store they have the lowest prices of any major thrift store in town including daily and weekly specials

Others like the thrill of the hunt and the discovery of rare treasures. They can spot the designer labels, the vintage items, unique treasure or the great bargain. They know retailers give Hubbard House Thrift Store brand new merchandise in addition to the gently used items that others donate. They could shop anywhere but feel good about buying at Hubbard House Thrift Store because they know their purchases are making a difference. Whichever category you fall in, please donate to and shop at the Hubbard House Thrift Store.

The mission of Hubbard House is Every Relationship Violence-Free. Hubbard House priorities include providing safety for victims and their children, empowering victims, and social change through education and advocacy. Every woman, man, and child who comes to Hubbard House finds support, counseling, and education as they begin the difficult and dangerous transition to safety and peace. Victims of domestic violence and their children are not charged for the life-saving services they receive at Hubbard House.
